Chris and I visited Amelia in the NICU a couple of times today. It was so nice to spend some quality time with her in peace. She's doing so well. In fact, the doctor was able to visit with us while we were there and told us that her chest X-ray had cleared up and he was going to remove her from the antibiotics. He is questioning whether she ever had pneumonia since it cleared up so quickly, so she might not have ever needed to be in the NICU in the first place. Based on the results of a test tomorrow, he believes she'll be released tomorrow instead of Monday. We are thrilled at the prospect of having our baby home a few days early! I was really hoping she'd be home for Mother's Day, so we still have our fingers crossed for a tomorrow release.
Here are a couple of photos of Amelia from today. The spitting image of Mira at that age!
Love,
Michelle

Oh, she's a doll! It's always so crazy when there is a dark haired baby in the family. Glad to hear she's doing better and will hopefully come home tomorrow. Have fun with her!

What a wonderful blessing! We know why she's improving so quickly; the power of prayer is the quickest healer of all! I'll keep praying for her health to improve so she can be home with her family very soon.
She has the most adorable little lips/mouth and a very sweet face.
(Little Debbie-Gail would have been a very good name too!)
Congrats on your gift from above.

Amelia Kaye is sooooo very pretty and there sure are a great similarities in her looks to Mira. They will be great sisters to each other. Mira might have some jealousy times so be sure to give her extra attention during the the getting use to baby transition. I'm happy she'll be home soon so you can all be together. Enjoy!
Thanks for all the pictures and updates.
Love you, Bonnie Kaye
What good news! I hope you can all be home for Mother's Day.
