And on a cautionary note, Mira decided to put her hand on the stove tonight, despite knowing to look for the red light, indicating a hot stovetop. I had just shut off the burner so she received a small burn on her palm. I'm glad it wasn't much worse. She got lucky. I don't think she'll do that again.
My adorable Amelia:
All Amelia needs in life: Her "pappy", her blankie, and her Polka Cow.
On another happy note: It looks like Chris will be coming home from the hospital on Thursday. He'll need an IV of nutrients overnight for a week or two, but at least he'll be home!

that mess looks about right for a toddler. Keep an eye out for infection on that burn, poor thing. Glad to hear Chris will be home by the weeks end.
LOVE the photo of Amelia's work! Ours doesn't make many messes like that - her vice is the dogs' water. They've got a dish on the floor that she can't stay away from. (We had to block the room it's in with a gate.) When she can't get to the dish, she'll crawl into the kennel (INTO THE KENNEL!) and stick her finger in the valve on their water bottle so it empties out...all over her legs, clothes, etc. Then she'll hold up her hands and say, "Ishy! Wash hands? Bath time?" The kid loves water.
