Meet Winter!

After a day of waiting, Winter Stone Cook (!) finally joined our family. He is a gift to Mira, sort of a very early birthday present. She was so excited to finally meet him tonight. We greeted Winter around 8:00 pm this evening {he hails from Twin Valley, near Moorhead}. The girls both loved holding him and making him feel safe. He was shaking a bit when he arrived, not sure if from the cold or if he was scared. He's sleeping on Mira's bed tonight {Amelia is a little jealous, I think}, and we hope will love his new home. He was born on Sept. 19, 2009, so he's just over 3 months old. He is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and should grow to around 12-15 pounds. We look forward to many wonderful years with Winter!
Oh, and on the Amelia/no pacifiers news, she has been doing wonderfully! We are very surprised she has adapted as well as she has, so we are happy to say our house is officially pacifier-free! Next . . . potty training {for Amelia AND the dog!}
